SODIUM CHLORITE KIT + ACTIVATOR 140 ML
Precursor for obtaining in situ a biocide (chlorine dioxide), exclusively used for the purification and disinfection of water for human or animal consumption. Precursor included in art. 95 of EU Regulation 528/2012 on biocides.
COMPOSITION
Aqueous solution of sodium chlorite NaCIO2 at 25%, precursor substance of a biocide (Chlorine dioxide) that is obtained in situ by acidification with the 4% HCL ACTIVATOR. The set consists of 2 containers, 1 Sodium Chlorite (25%) and 1 Activator HCl (4%).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND DOSAGE
For drinking water disinfection:
One drop of Activator HCl is used for every drop of Sodium Chlorite (1:1) Dose 2 drops of sodium chlorite and 2 drops of activator for every liter of water to be treated, in a dry (non-metallic) container regardless of the number of activated drops.
Wait about 45 seconds until a golden amber color is obtained.
The mixture needs to be diluted later in the water. Add water (>150 ml) to stabilize the activated solution as soon as possible. The intense yellow color indicates the degree of saturation of the CIO2 gas that evaporates over time.
This yellowish solution must be diluted in the water to be treated as soon as possible to ensure maximum effectiveness, and let it act for at least 30 min.
Do not consume the treated water until the level of active chlorine drops below 1.5 ppm. If when measuring the level of chlorine it turns out to be negligible, repeat the operation until the level of active chlorine in the water is between 0.5-1.5 ppm.
The amount of product to be dosed and the exposure time will always depend on the quality of the water to be treated.
Use with caution, always read labels and product information. Store in a cool, dry place, and in an upright position.
Do not expose to sunlight to avoid degradation. It is not necessary to keep the containers in the refrigerator at reasonable temperatures when the ambient temperature is below 22-24º C.
For disinfection of surfaces and tools in Food Industries and other areas of private life:
Mix in equal parts, in a clean and dry (non-metallic) glass, 25 ml of Sodium Chlorite Solution NaClO2 (25%) and 25 ml of Activator HCl (4%).
Wait about 45 seconds until a golden amber color is obtained.
Dilute the mixture in 5-10L of water, depending on the level of dirt, in a closed container.
In a ventilated place, apply this dilution on the surfaces using a cloth or mop, or by immersing the tool. Leave to act for at least 5 min. and rinse later with plenty of water before use.
FEATURES
The container contains 140 ml Sodium Chlorite + Activator HCL 4%
25% concentrated solution.
Very high quality and purity.
Sodium chlorite should never be used alone. It should always be activated with a safe acid such as 4% HCL.
The mixture of equal parts of sodium chlorite with an acid generates the disinfectant biocidal substance.
140 ml opaque container, to preserve all its quality and optimal conservation.
It is very important to keep in mind that exposing the content to ultraviolet light deteriorates the product.
HAZARD INDICATIONS SODIUM CHLORITE
Use biocides safely. Always read the label and biocide information before using it.
Acute Tox. 4: H302 – Harmful if swallowed Aquatic Chronic 1: H410 – Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Eye Dam. 1: H318 – Causes serious eye damage Met. Corr. 1: H290 – May be corrosive to metals STOT RE 2: H373 – May cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure (Oral) EUH032: Contact with acids liberates very toxic gas.
