ACTIVATOR HCL 4%
Activator for obtaining in situ a biocide (Chlorine dioxide). 4% hydrochloric acid aqueous solution, necessary to activate sodium chlorite. Biocide included in Art. 95 of the BPR regulation, exclusively used for the disinfection of water for human or animal consumption.
COMPOSITION
Hydrochloric Acid Solution 4%. Hydrochloric Acid HCl Activator Container (4%).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND DOSE
For disinfection of drinking water:
One drop of Activator HCl is used for each drop of Sodium Chlorite (1:1). Dose 2 drops of Sodium Chlorite and 2 drops of Activator for each litre of water to be treated, in a dry (non-metallic) container regardless of the number of drops activated.
Wait about 45 seconds until a golden amber colour is obtained.
The mixture needs to be diluted with water afterwards. Add water (>150 ml) to stabilise the activated solution as soon as possible.
The intense yellow colour indicates the degree of saturation of the CIO2 gas that evaporates over time. This yellowish solution should be diluted in the water to be treated as soon as possible to ensure maximum effectiveness, and left to act for at least 30 min.
Do not consume the treated water until the level of active chlorine drops below 1.5 ppm. If the chlorine level is not measurable, repeat the operation until the level of active chlorine in the water is between 0.5-1.5 ppm. The amount of product to be dosed and the exposure time will always depend on the quality of the water to be treated. Use with caution, always read labels and product information. Store in a cool, dry place in an upright position.
Do not expose to sunlight to avoid degradation. It is not necessary to keep the containers in the refrigerator at reasonable temperatures when the ambient temperature is below 22-24°C.
For disinfection of surfaces and tools in the food industry and other areas of private life:
Mix in equal parts, in a clean, dry (non-metallic) beaker, 25 ml Sodium Chlorite Solution NaClO2 (25%) and 25 ml Activator HCl (4%), wait about 45-60 sec.
Dilute the mixture in 5-10L of water, depending on the level of soiling, in a closed container.
In a ventilated place, apply this dilution on the surfaces by means of a cloth or mop, or by immersion of the tool. Leave to act for at least 5 minutes and then rinse with plenty of water before use.
CHARACTERISTICS
The package contains 1 l of 4% muriatic acid. Gentle concentration.
Sodium chlorite should never be used alone.
It should always be activated with a safe acid like 4% HCL.
1 l opaque container, to preserve all its quality and its optimal conservation.
It is very important to bear in mind that exposing the contents to ultraviolet light deteriorates the product.
